Information for Coaches/SchoolsCoaches are at the forefront for setting examples of positive leadership
A concussion can occur by any strong impact or blow to the head or jolt to the body that causes the head or brain to move and bounce rapidly back and forth inside the protective skull. This impact can cause damage and or lasting effects especially if they occur multiple times. All concussions are serious injuries and there is no such thing as a mild concussion.
At Cognitive Concussion Centers, we encourage adding to your current protocols to include baseline testing. The technology we use is cutting-edge and include objective balance testing in addition to cognitive testing. Get added piece of mind knowing that you are helping to protect your athletes’ brain health. With this toolkit to assist in diagnosing and monitoring brain health over time, you can be even more confident in the comparison of baseline and post event ( i.e. concussion ) brain health data to make more informed return-to-activity decisions.
We offer individual baseline testing, as well as Sideline testing and team assessments. There is no need to re-do your current protocols to simply add baseline testing to your pre-season registration plan, first practice or even a mid-season event. Regulations on these protocols are only going to continue to get more and more rigid, particularly with ever-growing media attention. Add another level of safety for your young athletes/students and schedule a baseline testing event today!
